We are looking for English tutors who reside in South Africa to join our team on a part-time basis and make a difference in global education. This teaching role is suitable for individuals who are passionate about helping children grow their understanding, who are energetic and passionate about teaching and shaping young minds, and who have a passion for seeing their students grow and develop in their language journey.

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Friday 10:00-15:00 SAST
  • Saturday & Sunday 03:00-05:00 SAST
  • Saturday & Sunday 11:00-16:00 SAST
  • Saturday & Sunday 13:00-15:00 SAST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance while delivering English lessons to young children from Asia based on set lesson plans.
  • Use the set lesson material to guide students in understanding the key target language and contextualization.
  • Engage and encourage students positively and maintain a positive friendly disposition throughout the lesson.
  • Manage a classroom and provide feedback to students on their language proficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required

• 120 TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate is required

• Great command of the English language (accent neutral)

• Highly advantageous – Tutoring experience (preferred online English tutoring)

Technical Requirements:

PC specifications :

• Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater 

• Memory: 8GB RAM or greater

Backup power :

• Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching) . This is a non-negotiable requirement.

• A separate mini power supply system to power your fibre router as an independent system.

Internet Connection:

• A stable FIBRE internet connection - at a minimum of 25 mbps upload and download speeds 

• PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection 

  • PLEASE NOT WE DO NOT ACCEPT WIFI OR LTE CONNECTIONS

Other:

• Noise-cancelling  headsets and HD web camera. 

• Back-up headset is highly recommended 

• Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
